The Angora fire was still burning, when the wind switched directions.
The wind blew it under the overpass on I-80.
There was some smoke on the road, but not enough to impair visibility.
Firetrucks responded promptly to this area. You'll notice orange jumpsuits and "Department of Corrections" on the truck - inmate firefighters.
Driving across the playa at speed. It was fairly windy, and you'll notice no dust, as the crust is still solid (except of course for the contrail from the truck).
The Travel Lodge in Reno is now the Desert Rose, and it's gotten a fresh coat of paint.
A new sign may be up by Labor Day.
