civex > We had very strong winds our first night, and the tent was buffeted. We were slapped lightly on our heads by the collapsing wall at one point. Although the wind generally came head on into the tent door to your right in this photo, it shifted for just an instance and collapsed the tent on the other side from this view. We were glad that we had used large stakes on the tent's ends.
civex > I\'m 5 feet 10 inches tall, for comparison. The cap makes me look taller, and there is indeed standing headroom for me at the center of the tent. We kept one of the interior flaps (shown in the previous photos) partially open for ventilation, but we did not open the exterior flap.
civex > A view of the tent showing the logo and a door.
civex > Finally - I have unziipped the tent flap, the tent mesh, and the fly flap, so we can then zip the mesh back up and get whatever breezes there are from outside.
civex > I have unzipped the flap. This is the bug-proof mesh screen on the tent. I still have not unzipped the flap in the fly - so we can have some ventilation without letting dust blow in.
civex > This is inside the tent. There is a fabric flap which seals the tent separately from the opening in the fly.
civex > Underneath the flap is a small stiff piece that you raise and stick to the velcro as shown. Under that flap is another zippered flap which is closed in this photo, sealing the fly against dust.
civex > Because of all the dust at Burning Man, I'm paranoid about it. The tent has two vents in the fly and tent on opposite sides of the center pole. This is how the fly vent looks when closed. It is held in place by that small black velcro tab visible under the flap.
