And they're off!
From St. Barth Airport (1997)
Starting to roll. The plane begins its take off.
Okay, so this is a landing not a take off. Note the road beneath the plane.
Halfway to the lift off.
Clearance before the road was moved. In 1997, the road was directly under the landing path, and the clearance was not bridges, but planes.
With the runway ending at St. Jean beach, many sunbathers take the opportunity to video tape arrivals and takeoffs.

A rainbow over the airport - well, pretty much over the whole island.
Remember where the motorcycle was and look at where the plane is now.
Standing directly under the flight path.
We can't imagine what it's like to be landing an airpland and have a motorcycle on the road directly in front of you.
A view of the runway from Col de Tourmente, the traffic circle almost shared with landing planes.
A snapshot (literally) of a plane landing on St. Barth.
