Thanksgiving 2006 in Eureka Valley, home of the highest dune in California (700 feet above the valley floor). Photo times in the EXIF data are UTC (or UCT); subtract 8 hours for the local time. Temperatures during the day were in the 60s - shorts and t-shirts were comfortable. Lows at night were around 20 degrees. A couple of mornings it was 25 degrees in our tent. We made sure we had water in the coffee pot before we went to bed - it was frozen in the mornings.
